A rich and delicious no-bake peanut butter pie.
Happy Fall y’all!
Is it actually Fall? No…but it was windy, brisk and gloomy a couple of days ago so what does that mean? That means that we have officially pulled out the Halloween decorations and spent far too much time making felt pumpkin pie garland for our houses. If you have no idea what that means…just put “pumpkin pie garland” into Pinterest. You’re welcome. For the record…we hate hot glue. It’s everywhere.
Our true apologies if us even speaking the word “Fall” is upsetting you. Some of you may still be clinging onto the last bits of Summer. We get it. You like to be hot and sweaty. We however, are over it.
As much as we’re sure you dropped by to read all about our feelings on seasons, we will jump into the recipe. We have a rich, creamy, cheesecake-y peanut butter pie for you! We love peanut butter. So much. Maybe too much. However, surprsingly we’ve never actually made a peanut butter pie. We’ve just started dabbling in the world of pie….but we couldn’t think of a better what to start than with a no bake pie with OREOS for the crust?!
Besides the 8 minutes it takes to cook the crust, this recipe is no-bake. You simply need to have the patience to let it chill in the fridge overnight which is truly a herculean task.
Full disclosure – this pie is rich. Delicious…but rich. Rich in the best way possible, but just wanted to let you know incase you are in mood for something light with a hint of peanut butter. This is not that. You will want some milk with this pie.
